Art in a Bottle transforms familiar commercial containers into collectible cultural objects. By reconstructing recognisable bottle forms through painting, assemblage, and layered intervention, the series examines branding not simply as commerce, but as contemporary mythology. The works explore how repetition, desire, and visual familiarity give ordinary objects emotional and cultural power.
The bottle functions as both object and symbol. It carries associations of celebration, luxury, addiction, nostalgia, aspiration, and identity. Through fragmentation, layering, and reconstruction, these familiar forms become sites of reinterpretation rather than consumption.
The work exists between painting, sculpture, and design object, resisting a singular category.
Art in a Bottle responds by slowing that process down, transforming instantly recognisable imagery into something reflective, tactile, and unresolved.
The series questions how branding shapes memory, aspiration, and emotional attachment, while simultaneously embracing the seductive visual language of mass culture itself.
